On Sunday, May 20, G.A.A. will be celebrating its 25th year! This year, baseball’s 3rd annual Player Appreciation Day will also celebrate G.A.A.’s 25th Anniversary of team sports. Baseball, softball, basketball, and football will be represented. There will be individual and team skills competitions for baseball along with a home run derby, football competitions with D1 Sports, 3 point basketball shootouts, and some fun softball activities as well. Inflatables and other games will also be offered. G.A.A. will give awards for the top competitors in the skills competitions. The festivities will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Each team has been assigned a time slot to help run the events. The coaches will be contacting parents for volunteers. Your help is key to making sure these great kids have a wonderful experience. Please encourage your sons and daughters to come out, participate, have fun with their peers, and represent their teams. Anyone who has participated in this day before will say what an enjoyable time this is for everyone involved. Please go to the
baseball website for more information on the specific events, locations, and times.
Please note: Updates have been made to the rules for the home run derby. Please refer to the document listed below for complete details.
